HOW IT ALL BEGAN

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 1988, a craftsman in Seattle began working with leather — not to make a product,
but to explore the balance between strength and softness, control and connection.

What started as an experiment soon became a quiet devotion.
Friends began asking for the same handmade pieces — each one unique,
each one made with the same respect for texture, intention, and touch.

Over time, that private ritual evolved into Obsidian Restraint
a small collective of artisans dedicated to creating tools of trust.
Every whip, collar, and binding rope that leaves our workshop is still made by hand,
finished with care, and guided by the belief that power can be elegant.

“We do not mass-produce intimacy — we craft it.”

OUR DEDICATION TO YOU

Every piece we make begins with the same promise:
to honor both the body and the boundaries of those who use it.

Our materials are ethically sourced, our craftsmanship deliberate,
and our customer service grounded in respect and discretion.
We believe intimacy deserves precision — not excess.

Before leaving our workshop, every product passes through
multiple hands, inspections, and tests for balance, durability, and touch.
If we wouldn’t use it ourselves, it doesn’t leave our table.

Crafted to be felt. Designed to be trusted.

OUR GUARANTEE

We stand behind every piece we create.
If your Obsidian Restraint item is damaged due to craftsmanship or materials,
we’ll repair or replace it at no charge — because quality is not a promise,
it’s a responsibility.

And if your order ever arrives less than perfect,
contact us — we’ll make it right, discreetly and quickly.

Every piece carries our signature — not just in design, but in integrity.
